Believe it or not, there are many health benefits to having a slice of cake a day. For many, it helps combat depression, a slice a cake is proven to reduce stress and depression levels. Cakes are also an excellent source of energy, a slice of cake each day can help you fuel your day and keep you away from hypoglycemia. Cakes are also a great source of calcium and protein, not to be seen as a huge slump of sugary fats. Depending on the type of cakes you consume, some may act as antioxidants, packed with vitamins and healthy fiber. A slice of cake for breakfast is also proven to help most people lose weight, just make sure you only consume it in the morning.

The owner of The Yellow Whisk envisioned a cake cafe serving customers quality rustic cakes with natural and wholesome ingredients. The cafe uses natural ingredients such as fresh lemon peels, fresh-peeled bananas, nuts etc along with imported butter as opposed to heap margarine and artificial flavoring. The cake cafe revolves around a grab-and-go concept but also has sittings for you to chill over a cake and coffee.

The cafe serves a wide variety of non-hot food ranging from cakes, pastries, cookies to occasionally desserts such as pudding and creme brulee. Not to mention, coffee and tea are freshly brewed at the point of order. They also make stunning customized cakes for just about any events like birthdays and weddings. Food catering is also one of the services they provide for parties and other special occasions.

Their best-sellers are their banana loaf cake, lemon pound cake, and basque cheesecake. Personally, my favorite is the lemon cake, it packs a lemon-punch to it, definitely wakes you up for the day and it has a sandy texture which I really enjoy. If you’re not a fan of sour things, their cheesecake is one of the best cheesecakes I’ve tried. It has a rich, creamy, soft texture to it. I’ve also tried their banana cake which has a different texture to the ones you get at your local bakery shop. Personally, I’ve not been able to eat those bakery made ones because I tend to have a gag reflex when I swallow it down. The Yellow Whisk’s cakes feel more easy-going when you’re taking it in. 

The origins of the name Yellow Whisk goes back to when the owner was gifted a whisk painted in yellow. Back then, the business was mostly running online, with orders for customized cakes and food catering. As the business grew, the owner founded ‘The Yellow Whisk’ from nostalgia. 

The Yellow Whisk currently has plans to expand to a bigger place to deliver the ultimate cake experience. I believe we’ve all seen The Cake Boss on TLC network, that’s where TYW is heading – unmatched, unique and quality cake experience.
